I just wanted to write a quick post to say that I honestly can’t believe it has been 2 years since I decided to share what I had to say. 2 years since I made one of the best decisions of my life. Over the past two years I have discovered a lot about myself, found a passion I didn’t know I had, realised what it was I wanted to do with my life, WROTE AND PUBLISHED A WHOLE BOOK (eeeeeeeeek!) and I have been able to connect with many individuals on this platform.
Writing is something I have found myself seeking comfort in. It is my way of expressing many jumbled up emotions. I remember the first time I decided to write down my feelings. I opened up a Word document and began typing and literally couldn’t stop. I realised that what I had written was something I would have liked to read myself. I had this burning desire to share it with people. Not let it just sit on my laptop and be forgotten about. So I submitted it to an online magazine and was very much shocked when they accepted it and published it. Now it didn’t go viral or anything but the feeling I got from knowing that it was out there for people to read and be inspired from was something out of this world. I decided to try send them another piece only that piece was rejected. Rather than giving up I decided that I still wanted to share it, I wanted people to read it and I wanted to write more. And thus began my blog AlisaLifestyle. A lifestyle blog because I didn’t want to restrict myself in terms of my writing. I wanted to write about whatever my heart feels strongly about.
2 years and 100 posts later (this will be the 101st post) and I have never once looked back. In fact I owe a lot to this blog as it has helped me get a lot of my chest and not hold myself back when it comes to sharing things.
I crossed off an item on my bucket list because of this blog.
23. Write A Book!
I know in my heart that this is something I was meant to do. I know it is something I will keep on doing no matter what. This blog means so much to me. I can’t thank those who follow me, read my work, like and comment on it enough. Your support keeps me active and keeps me going. To celebrate my two year anniversary, this post will be followed by 2 other blog posts on topics I feel strongly about (as usual).
Here’s to another two, ten, twenty etc. years!!!
Thank you all x
